Lookout Ilinica

Every view of Boka Kotorska is amazing. From higher up, however, the beauty of the bay becomes even more apparent. How fascinating Boka is in its uniqueness can already be seen at the entrance - from the viewpoint Ilinica in Herceg Novi.

It is located in the village of Žvinje above Njivice.

On one side of the viewpoint you can see Herceg Novi, Boka Kotorska and Lovćen. On the other side opens the view of the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea and Molunat, Vitaljina and Konavle.

Žvinje
Herceg-Novi | Old Town

Fortresses, small squares, old churches, narrow streets, exotic vegetation are the characteristics of the town of Herceg-Novi. Located right at the entrance of one of the most beautiful bays in the world, Boka Kotorska, it is rich in artistic and historical heritage, unique and diverse plant vegetation, as well as natural picnic areas that can be visited all year round due to the extremely mild and warm climate. The average annual air temperature in Herceg-Novi is 16 degrees.

Mamula

Mamula (Cyrillic: Мамула, or Ластавица/Lastavica) is a small Montenegrin island in the Adriatic Sea, in the southwestern Montenegrin municipality of Herceg Novi. At the time of the rule of the Republic of Venice, the island was known as Rondina.

Mamula is strategically located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor between the Prevlaka and Luštica peninsulas.

Drone flight over the island.
This small island is almost circular, about 200 meters in diameter and rises up to 16 meters above sea level. It is located approximately 3.4 nautical miles (6.3 km) from Herceg Novi.

Promenade "Five Danica"

Named after five young women named Danica who died in World War II, this pedestrian promenade stretches more than 7 km along the waterfront from Igalo to Meljine. It is lined with summer bars, shops, concrete bathing platforms and the occasional rocky cove. In places it ducks in and out of tunnels carved through headlands. The strip follows the route of a former railway line that once connected the coast with Sarajevo.

Portonovi Montenegro

This is a place where life feels somehow richer, where the days slow down and you can enjoy your time however you choose. Surrounded only by the soaring peaks and sun-shimmering waters of the Adriatic coast, every moment here reveals something new.

With luxury homes, Portonovi's world-class marina and a destination One&Only hotel on site, Portonovi is your gateway to Boka Bay - and all this unspoiled land has to offer.

Lovćen National Park

Lovćen is a main mountain range in Montenegro. The highest points are Štirovnik (1749 m) and Jezerski Vrh (1657 m). Lovćen is located southeast of the Bay of Kotor. At the foot of the mountain massif are the towns of Kotor, Budva and Cetinje. On the Jezerski Vrh peak stands the Njegoš mausoleum by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović, built in 1970-1974. Petar II Petrović Njegoš had a burial chapel built on the summit in 1845. Only a few years after his death, Njegoš was buried there in 1854. The burial chapel was destroyed in World War I and restored in 1925.

A part of the karst mountains is a national park (64 km²) and is home to rare plant and animal species.

Ostrog Monastery

Located in Montenegro, Ostrog Monastery is in many respects the unique religious monument. It is one of the few shrines in the world that both Muslims and Catholics can visit. The monastery is an incredibly beautiful architectural complex carved into the rock. There are few such structures in the world. The location of the monastery is also unique - it is literally built into the rock face and is located at an altitude of 840 meters above sea level. The founder of the monastery was Bishop of Herzegovina Basil, who established the sanctuary in the 17th century.

Old Town of Budva & St.Stephan

Budva was founded in the fifth century BC. Founded in 300 BC, it is the oldest city on the Montenegrin coast, shaped by Roman, Venetian and Byzantine invaders. It is best known for its medieval city wall. The walk along the seafront to Stari Grad (Old Town) is the perfect way to start the day.
On a small island a few kilometers from Budva sits Sveti Stefan, a jumble of honey-colored medieval stone villas connected to the mainland by a causeway.
